Voices. Viewpoints. Vision.

A radio series focusing on women and the arts

Marilyn Campbell hosts this program series focusing on women and the arts. Musical pieces, spoken word, humor and archival recordings, are presented around themes vital to feminism today. A formidable line-up of guests and regular contributors from the worlds of music, film, theater and literature, speak from personal, historical and contemporary perspectives, exploring the artist as an agent of social change.

Focusing on feminism in a new era.

Media frequently stereotypes and marginalizes women, or ignores women’s issues in relation to world events and public policy.  The Feminist Lens radio series provides our audience an opportunity to have a voice – offering resources beyond airtime, making connections to individuals, community groups and organizations.

Here’s what people are saying about “Breaking the Silence”

“Listening to the Feminist Lens program right now –

Astounding!  Such powerful voices – every story, poem, and song is deeply sad, haunting, piercingly melancholy and I have been moved to tears.

I pray that all who listen to this show are compelled to continue to stand strong, and create powerful testimony.

Programs like this are inspirational.

Each story went right to my heart, and the way in which they were weaved together with the music had a profound impact in the way that I heard, felt and saw the devastating impact of rape and abuse.

I will share this link.

…Thank you!
